Finding the Right Vape Juice Flavors

First of all, specialty e-liquid flavors are a personal choice. Just because you've heard it tastes yummy, it might not be good to you! And you may have to try a few different flavors before you find one that tastes great.

You may find you like one flavor of e-juice in the mornings or during the day, and another one in the evenings. For example, you want to vape Blueberry Muffin or Peach Yogurt after breakfast, Chocolate Peanut Butter as a dessert and then settle in for the evening with some Irish Rum.

The best way to find out if you like a specialty flavor is to simply try it! Our sample kits are perfect for any first-time vapers who are trying to discover their favorites.

You can also start with one of our smaller bottles until you find the one you love. After all, you don't want to buy a big bottle of juice that you end up hating and throwing away.

It’s handy to have more than one tank on hand so you're not always having to clean the tank to switch the flavors. You don't want your flavors mixing together in the tank because it likely won’t make for the tastiest blend.

Nicotine or No Nicotine – Finding the Right Strength

If you're a vaper who's never smoked, or you only smoked socially, you're probably better off using a zero-nicotine e-juice. But if you’re coming off heavy cigarette smoking, the nicotine strength will also determine the level of throat hit you get when you inhale the vapor. If you want the same feel of smoking when you vape, you may have to experiment with different levels of nicotine in your e-liquids.

This easy chart will help you find the right nicotine level:

  • 3mg – 6mg: for light smokers
  • 12mg: for medium to heavy smokers who smoked light cigarettes
  • 18mg – 24mg: for heavy smokers who smoked regular strength cigarettes

If you were a relatively light smoker you may want to start with the lowest amount of nicotine and eventually get down to zero. If you want a solid throat hit, however, you might want to start with the 12mg and slowly transition to the lower amounts.

Does Vape Juice Expire?

Yes, it does. But you'll probably use it all long before its expiration date. Most e-juice manufacturers will stamp an expiration date on the bottles and it's usually one to two years from the date of manufacture.

Even if you stock up on specialty e-liquid flavors, you'll most likely go through all of them long before the expiration dates.

However, if you're buying your vape juice in bulk and stocking up on them, here are some tips for long-term storage to make sure your e-juice won't go bad before the expiration date:

  • Store them in a cool, dry area, but not in the refrigerator!
  • Keep your juice bottles away from direct sunlight, heat and oxygen. Make sure the bottles are closed tight and store them in a dry cabinet or cupboard.

You might notice that some of your e-liquids look like they're changing colors or turning brown while they're sitting. Not to worry. As long as they've been properly stored and still within two years of purchase, they haven't expired early and are still good to use.
