CBD Tincture for Easy Dosing

What Is CBD Tincture?

What distinguishes CBD tincture from CBD oil is extracting CBD isolates from the hemp plant. A tincture is an alcohol-based product, whereas a CBD oil is an oil-based product.

When creating a tincture, the hemp plant is soaked in an alcohol-based solvent, vinegar, or glycerin to extract the CBD isolates. CBD oil is created through CO2 extraction. Unlike CBD oils, tinctures do not use carrier oils to deliver their products.

How Are CBD Tinctures Made?

Hemp material is saturated in a solvent such as alcohol, glycerin, or vinegar and heated slowly to extract the CBD isolates. The CBD molecules are infused into the solvent, which is then boiled from the solution, leaving a liquid that can provide CBD to the body.

CBD tinctures can use CBD isolates from the stalks, flower, and leaves of cannabis sativa, similar to regular CBD oil. The extraction method of these tinctures is also alcohol or solvent-based. The bottom line is that a tincture uses a liquid solvent to extract the CBD isolates from the plant, whereas commercial CBD oil products use carbon dioxide (CO2).

Advantages of a CBD Tincture

CBD tinctures have several advantages when compared to other CBD products, some of which include the following:

• Product potency remains high with a long shelf life when stored properly.
• They can be taken sublingually (under the tongue).
• Because they are in liquid form, they can easily be added to food and drink.
• They come in a variety of flavors, such as peppermint.
• Easy to administer small doses.
• CBD tinctures do not have a bad odor like hemp seed oil.
• CBD tinctures can be carried more discreetly than infused products.

What Are the Benefits of Using CBD Tincture?

Although individual results may vary, many people have used CBD tinctures as an effective treatment to relieve the following:

• Anxiety
• Pain, by working with the endocannabinoid system
• Neurological pain
• Cancer-related symptoms and related conditions
• Poor heart health
• Acne

CBD tincture may also be used for diabetes prevention, antipsychotic effects, and anti-tumor effects.
