2023 Easy and Quick Tips for Properly Storing Your Vape Hardware

Posted by David on

When it comes to ensuring a successful vaping hobby, we go to great lengths to buy the most advanced hardware, the most premium e-liquids and all of the compatible accessories. We also make sure that we maintain our vape setup by regularly cleaning it and replacing parts when needed. But how many of us also prioritize proper hardware storage?

Storing your hardware properly and safely is often an overlooked part of maintaining a vaping hobby, although it shouldn’t be. If you don’t store your gear in the right manner, there’s a good chance that it will fail you sooner than it should.

Proper Vape Storage is Not a Complicated Science

We have come up with a list of essential storage tips so that your hardware can last for as long as possible.

Tip #1: Always Keep Your Setup Indoors

It’s very important that you don’t leave your vaping hardware outdoors. If left outside, your hardware is at the mercy of ever-changing weather. Drastic changes in weather can impact the functionality of your device, such as extreme temperature changes, spikes and drops in humidity, and, of course, rain and wind, which can directly damage the device you’re using.

Tip #2: Store Your Batteries Safely

Vape batteries may be very sturdy, but that doesn’t mean that they’re invincible. Two things that can disrupt the functionality of your batteries are dirtiness and interaction with metal. This is why your spare batteries should remain in a case when not in use. Otherwise, they can make contact with metal which can interfere with their charge, and they can pick up debris and dirt that can ruin the connections, making them unable to connect properly to your device.

Tip #3: Never Leave Your Device Close to a Heat Source, or Moisture

Always be mindful of where you keep your device when you’re not handling it. If your device is too close to a heat source, such as a vent or a stove, this can damage the circuitry, ruining it permanently. Similarly, too much moisture, or water exposure, can kill your device, which is why you shouldn’t leave your hardware in a bathroom.

Tip #4: Don’t Keep Your Charger Plugged in Unless You’re Using It

Believe it or not, it’s actually recommended that you unplug your charger each time you’re done using it. This is because chargers do not have power buttons, and so they are always running as long as they’re plugged in. Over time, this can cause the charger to lose its functionality sooner than it should.

Tip #5: Keep Your Spare Parts Together

If you have spare parts for your hardware, such as replacement glass, make sure that you keep them all together in a place that is secure and safe. For instance, if your spare parts all came from a starter kit, try to keep them in the original box, so that when you end up needing them, you will know exactly where to find them.

Tip #6: Store Your Devices in a Safe and Secure Location

Overall, you should always be smart about where you store your devices. Don’t put them somewhere where they can easily get knocked over, like a bedside table or a wobbly surface. Also, don’t store them in a place where they can get dirty, as this can damage the internals of the device.
